Belgian Liege Waffles with Strawberry Cheesecake Cream and Berries

Ingredients:

  • 30 x 85g Australian Waffle Co Belgian Style Liege Waffle
  • mixed berries, to serve
  • maple syrup, to serve

Strawberry cheesecake cream

  • 500g cream cheese, softened
  • 110g icing sugar mixture
  • 300ml thickened cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 120g mashed strawberries

Method:

  1. To make the strawberry cheesecake cream, beat the cream cheese, icing sugar, cream and vanilla together with an electric mixer until smooth and thick. Fold in the mashed strawberries. Refrigerate until required.
  2. To warm The Australian Waffle Co Belgian Style Liege Waffles, preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan-forced). Place waffles on a baking tray. Bake for 3-4 minutes or until heated through. Alternatively, place in a toaster on medium heat and toast for 3-4 minutes or until heated through.
  3. Layer warmed waffles with strawberry cheesecake cream and top with extra mixed berries. Serve maple syrup on the side.
